About
I'm Miri, a Technical Consulting Engineer working on Webex and collaboration support (TAC). I'm also a web developer, and I run a homelab. This site is where I write up what I build and fix.
Background
I'm a Technical Consulting Engineer working in second-line cloud support for collaboration products. I studied computer science and ended up in networking and support.
A typical case starts after the easy fixes have already failed. A device won't register, a call has audio in only one direction, or something that worked yesterday stopped after a certificate quietly expired. Most of the work is narrowing things down: reading logs, separating what the network is doing from what the service is doing, and finding the one assumption that turns out to be wrong. The fix is often small. Finding it is the job.
What I enjoy most is the explaining. A customer rarely needs every detail of the root cause. They need to know what happened, why, and what to do next, in terms that fit their environment and their level of experience. Turning a tangled technical problem into a clear explanation is the part of the work I want to do more of, and it's a big reason this site exists.
